Babolat Pure Aero 100 Gen9
Babolat Pure Aero 100
Description
Best for: Aggressive baseliners and intermediate-to-advanced players (roughly 4.0+) with fast, topspin-driven swings who want to overwhelm opponents with heavy, dipping spin and pace.
The Pure Aero is the benchmark spin racket — the frame Nadal made famous and Alcaraz carries forward — and the Gen 9 sharpens the formula with a more aerodynamic throat that whips through the air about 6% faster for even easier topspin. It's a stiff, lively frame that delivers real power and a high, heavy ball, but the updated NF² flax dampening makes this the most comfortable and controlled Aero yet, with a slightly more dampened, planted feel than the explosive 2023 model. If your swing path already produces spin, this rewards it.
Consider something else if: you're a flat hitter, prefer a soft flexible frame, or have arm sensitivity — the stiffness is real, and a Clash or a more control-oriented frame will suit you better.
